Robert Wilson, MD, PhD
Medical Director, Psychiatrist, Founding Partner

Dr. Robert Wilson is a licensed Psychiatrist with two decades of experience working in Community Mental Health. This includes experience working in integrated care delivery teams as well as providing services to rural areas via telepsychiatry. He has a great interest in expanding the availability of psychiatric services to areas of need.  In addition, he has experience in computer software design and development, primarily in the fields of security and data analysis.Dr. Wilson earned his M.D. and Ph.D. degrees at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in Rochester, NY. He completed his residency in psychiatry and his Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Michigan. He is board-certified in both General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He is a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. He is a recipient of a Service Recognition Award from NAMI of Erie County. He is an active member of the Pennsylvania Psychiatric Society; previously serving as President

Liberty Eberly, DO
Physician Engagement Director, Psychiatrist, Founding Partner

Dr. Liberty Eberly is a licensed Psychiatrist practicing since 2009 in Community Mental Health. This includes experience providing telepsychiatry since 2010. She has participated in the COMPASS grant program with St. Vincent’s Hospital in Erie, PA studying the effects of a team approach (includes a Primary Care Physician, Psychiatrist and Case Manager) with patients experiencing a chronic medical condition and depression. Dr. Eberly is very interested in the coordination of primary care and behavioral health care. She is a member of American Osteopathic Association. Dr. Eberly earned her D.O. degree at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency at Millcreek Community Hospital, Erie, PA. She also holds a Master’s in Medical Education.

M. McCray Ashby, MD
Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

M. McCray Ashby was born and raised in Cox’s Creek, KY, attending the Nelson County School System. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology, graduating Summa Cum Laude, from Kentucky Wesleyan College in Owensboro, KY. He then attended University of Louisville College of Medicine earning his Medical Doctorate in 2005 where he was awarded the S. Spafford Ackerly Award for Outstanding Performance in Psychiatry. He completed the Adult Psychiatry Residency Program at University of Louisville in 2008. Dr. Ashby completed the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at the University of Louisville in 2010 where he was awarded the Mohammad Shafii, MD Award for Excellence. He enjoys working with children and adolescents by offering personalized care focused to the diverse needs of each individual. Dr. Ashby is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Sadaf Islam, MD
Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

Dr. Sadaf Islam is a board certified Psychiatrist who completed her fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the State University of New York, University of Buffalo, NY. During her General Psychiatry Residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, TX, she trained with a multidisciplinary tele-health team in the juvenile justice system/detention centers, using a collaborative Telepsychiatry model. Her areas of clinical interest include treatment of developmental disorders in children including autism spectrum disorders, mood and anxiety disorders in children and adolescents. Her other areas of interest include mental health work force shortage in the United States and advocacy. She is a member of the Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Tammy Pennington, MD
Adult Psychiatrist

Tammy Pennington was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 1994 from the University of Louisville. She graduated from the University of Louisville Medical School in 2005. During that time she received the “S. Spafford Ackerly Award for Outstanding Performance in Psychiatry”. Dr. Pennington completed her Psychiatric Residency training from the University of Louisville in June 2009. Dr. Pennington chose the field of Psychiatry as a result of her dedication and commitment to helping those in need of mental health services. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Michael Thompson, MD
Adult Psychiatrist

Michael Thompson was born and raised in Louisville, graduating from Trinity High School. He attended the University of Kentucky, graduating Magna Cum Laude with Bachelor’s degrees in both Psychology and Biology, and was also honored as the Department of Psychology’s 1998 Outstanding Undergraduate Student. He received his Medical Doctorate from the University Of Kentucky College Of Medicine in 2005. He completed his Psychiatry Residency training at the University of Louisville Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Dr. Thompson served as Chief-Resident of the Department of Psychiatry in 2008. Since its opening in 2009, Dr. Thompson has been in practice at River City Psychiatry. His style combines utilizing psychotherapy techniques with customized medication management. Dr. Thompson enjoys working with adult men and women. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Amy Underwood, MD
Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrist

Dr. Underwood previously worked in Prairie St. Johns Hospital, Fargo, North Dakota and at University of Louisville affiliated hospitals in Louisville, Kentucky. Dr. Underwood received her medical education and residency training at the University of Louisville School of Medicine.
She has experience treating a wide range of psychiatric problems as well as a diversity of patient populations in a large urban setting. She works to incorporate family therapy into her treatment practices with children and adolescents. Utilizing the latest in research and psychopharmacology, she strives to provide the best in evidence-based practice parameters. Dr. Underwood is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She is also a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.

Tanya Wozniak, MD
Adult Psychiatrist

Originally from Lexington, Dr. Wozniak moved to Louisville to attend Bellarmine University where she also played soccer. She received her medical education and residency training at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. Together with her colleagues, she started River City Psychiatry in 2009 upon completion of residency training. Dr. Wozniak is a Board Certified adult psychiatrist who commonly treats people with adult ADHD, PTSD, mood disorders such as bipolar and depression, and anxiety disorders. She also has a special interest in treating athletes with mental illness and is a member of the International Society for Sport Psychiatry. She collaborates with patients and other providers/therapists when necessary, to create a customized treatment plan for each individual.

Joshua Ackerman, MD
Adult Psychiatrist

Dr. Ackerman was born and raised in New Jersey. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Literature from Ithaca College, NY and worked in advertising/marketing before pursuing a Masters Degree in Psychological Counseling from Monmouth University in New Jersey. Dr. Ackerman received his medical degree from St. Georges University, Grenada in 2010. He was a resident in the Department of Psychiatry at New York Medical College at Metropolitan Hospital Center in New York City. During his first year of residency, he was nominated by NYMC medical students and inducted into the Arnold P. Gold Foundation Gold Humanism Honor Society and received the Gold Foundation Humanism in Medicine and Excellence in Teaching Award. He was chief resident during his second year and was awarded three Resident Leadership Awards during his four-year residency. He was also awarded the Dirk T. Berger Award for Academic Excellence and Scholarly Activity from New York Medical College.

Dr. Ackerman has been published in The American Journal of Psychiatry, The Residents Journal, Psychiatric Times, and conducted a workshop at the 2014 American Psychiatric Association Convention.
He is currently an attending psychiatrist in Trenton, New Jersey, teaching medical students and residents from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School while working on an acute inpatient unit.

Meaghan Casey, MD
Adult Psychiatrist

Dr. Meaghan Casey is a licensed psychiatrist who began practicing in 2015. Her background includes a Master’s Degree in Pharmacology from SUNY-Stony Brook. She then worked for Pfizer in their pharmaceutical sales divi-sion, which led her to Ross University where she earned her medical degree. She completed her residency at Bergen Regional Medical Center in Para-mus, NJ. She has practiced at Trinitas Regional Medical Center in Eliza-beth, NJ working in Substance Abuse Services and the Treatment Linkage and Case Management Program, which caters to mentally ill patients who have struggled to succeed with more traditional treatment. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Association.

Katherine St. Germain-Smith, DO
Adult Psychiatrist

Dr. Smith graduated from Boston College and then University of New England College of Medicine. She completed her General Psychiatry residency and Child/Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship at Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Smith has experience in various work environments such as community mental health, day treatment programs, working with military and veterans, firefighters, and holding the position of medical director. Her areas of interest include sleep, nutritional psychiatry, and how lifestyle creates and impacts mental health. Dr. Smith currently lives in Charleston, SC with her husband and two daughters. She will publish her first book for adolescents and their parents this fall and enjoys writing and swimming in her free time. Specialties: Lifestyle modifications, PTSD, insomnia

Melissa Perry, MD
Psychiatrist

Dr. Melissa Perry was born and raised in Albany, NY. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Siena College in Loudonville, NY. She then attended Albany Medical College in Albany, NY earning her Medical Doctorate in 2010. She was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society at that time. She then completed the General Psychiatry Residency Program in 2013 through the University at Buffalo in NY. Dr. Perry then completed the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship through the University at Buffalo in 2015. She enjoys working with children, adolescents, and families. Dr. Perry is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She is also a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.

Nichole Sonderman, MD
Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

Nichole Sonderman is a board certified psychiatrist. She completed medical school at the University of Louisville where she was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She finished her general psychiatry residency at the University of Louisville where she also served as chief resident. She completed a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship at the University of Louisville where she worked in such settings as a children’s hospital, community mental health centers, public schools, and a university based clinic. Her areas of interest include improving access to appropriate mental healthcare and reforming prescribing practices of psychotropic medications in children and adolescents.

Amanda Whiteley, MD
Adult Psychiatrist

Dr. Whiteley is a native of Texas and now lives in Austin. She attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. She completed her psychiatry residency at the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky. There she served in a number of administrative roles including Chief Resident during her last year of training. Before joining Innovatel, she served as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at UT Southwestern and UT Austin Dell Medical School, where she was involved with clinical care and teaching resident physicians.

Jill Husson-Martinez, MD
Adult Psychiatrist

Dr. Martinez was born and raised in Maine. She completed her undergraduate training in Molecular Genetics from the University of Vermont and worked in genetics research at Massachusetts General Hospital prior to attending medical school. She graduated New York Medical College in 2009 and took a leave of absence during that time to travel throughout Argentina. She was a resident in psychiatry at Mount Sinai St Luke’s-Roosevelt in New York City and was elected as a chief resident in her last year. After training, she worked in a CPEP at the St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital emergency department and in an integrative care internal medicine clinic at Montefiore Medical Center. Most recently, she relocated to Florida to work in private practice. Her areas of interest include the treatment of substance use disorders, borderline personality disorder, and severe, persistent mental illness.

Justin Capote, MD
Adult Psychiatrist

Dr. Capote received his Bachelor’s degree in psychology and biology from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. He then received his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 2009. Both residency and fellowship were completed in the Mount Sinai hospital system in New York City where he was elected chief resident and earned the Resident Teacher of the Year award. He completed his training in 2014. He is currently double boarded in both adult psychiatry and psychosomatic medicine. Most recently he worked in Morristown, NJ for the Atlantic Health System heading a consult liaison service where he provided collaborative psychiatric care on medical, surgical, and intensive care units. He earned another teaching award for his work with the house staff and medical students. He also participated in a number of committees dealing with issues related to substance abuse, elder care, and quality improvement. He is experienced in treating issues related to substance abuse, medical comorbidities, advanced age, and end of life.

Jessica Estes, DNP, APRN
Psychiatric Mental Health NP - Lifespan

Jessica Estes is a family mental health nurse practitioner. She received her Masters of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University in 2004 and her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from the University of Kentucky in 2013. Her clinical capstone project was titled “Nurse Practitioner Knowledge of Urine Drug Testing.” She opened Estes Behavioral Health, LLC in October 2012 and the practice has grown to 2 nurse practitioner and 6 therapists at 2 locations. She currently serves as the president-elect for the Kentucky Coalition of Nurse Practitioners and Nurse Midwives. She is on the Board of Commissioners for ACEN and her term expires in October 2016. She has served as an accreditation site visitor for ACEN since 2009. She currently serves on the APRN Council and Controlled Substance Formulary Development for the Kentucky Board of Nursing. She has given professional presentations for KCNPNM and the APNA conference.

Marisa Perez-Reisler, MD
Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

Dr. Marisa Perez-Reisler is a licensed psychiatrist practice since 2010. Her prior work experience includes school-based and community based mental health care clinics in Baltimore, MD and as a hospital-based psychiatric consultant in Honolulu, HI. She is on the faculty at the John A. Burns School of Medicine. Collaborative care models integrating mental health and primary care are a primary area of interest. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. She received her medical degree from Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons. She completed her Psychiatry Residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Cornell-Payne Whitney and her Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at New York Presbyterian/Columbia-Cornell.

Emily Weston, APRN
Psychiatric Mental Health NP - Adult

Emily Weston was born and raised in New Hampshire. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Southern Maine. She worked as a Registered Nurse on a cardiac telemetry unit for six years before pursuing a Master’s degree as a Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at the University of Massachusetts Lowell in 2010. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, nursing honor society. Upon graduation Emily worked in a group psychiatric practice for five years and provided psychiatric consultation for a local community health center. She has been adjunct faculty for three universities, providing clinical guidance for Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner students completing their internships. She is currently working as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in an integrated behavioral health program for a local hospital in her hometown in New Hampshire.

Christi Weston, MD, PhD
Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrist

Dr. Weston was born and raised in Pennsylvania. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from LaSalle University, Philadelphia, PA. She completed her Doctor of Philosophy and Doctor of Medicine degrees at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, Stony Brook, NY. Dr. Weston completed her Psychiatry Residency Training at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Columbia University Medical Center and The New York State Psychiatric Institute in New York City, NY. Dr. Weston has received numerous awards and recognitions including a Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award from the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke and a Leon Levy Resident Fellowship from the Department of Psychiatry, Columbia University and the New York State Psychiatric Institute, for her research studying the development and specialization of synapses. Dr. Weston has received the Association of Women Psychiatrists Fellowship for her leadership in women’s health. Dr. Weston has published over 25 research articles and abstracts. During her career, Dr. Weston has worked in consultation-liaison psychiatry, inpatient, and outpatient psychiatry. She has a special interest in reproductive psychiatry and treating young adults. Dr. Weston is currently an attending psychiatrist at Lehigh Valley Health Network in Bethlehem, PA. She also maintains a private practice in Hellertown, PA.

Robin Bailey, MD
Adult Psychiatrist

Dr. Bailey is originally from Western Pennsylvania. She attended Westminster College in New Wilmington, PA, where she graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology. She then attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in Philadelphia, graduating with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree. At the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Dr. Bailey completed her residency in Psychiatry in 1990. She had additional training as a fellow at University Hospitals of Cleveland Mood Disorders Clinic where she was involved with teaching and research. She is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. After her training, Dr. Bailey has had a wide range of clinical experiences. She has been involved with teaching psychiatric residents as an Assistant Residency Program Director, consulted at hospitals and at extended care facilities. She has worked in public mental health and has had a solo private practice for many years. Dr. Bailey is excited to be joining the forefront of telepsychiatry with the InnovaTel team!

Sean Paul, MD
Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

Dr. Sean Paul is a California native who attended the University of California Davis. As an undergraduate, he majored in psychology and Spanish and spent a year abroad at the University of Granada in Spain. He speaks fluent Spanish. Dr. Paul attended medical school at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in East Lansing Michigan. As a medical student he was awarded the National Health Corps Scholarship, a scholarship awarded to students dedicated to working with the underserved. He also spent time in Costa Rica, Nicaragua and El Salvador as a medical student doing service work. He received a scholarship from Michigan State University for his dedication and work with the underserved.Dr. Paul completed adult residency in psychiatry at St. Luke’s – Roosevelt Hospital in New York City and University of Florida in Gainesville. Dr. Paul also completed a child psychiatry fellowship at the University of Florida. Personal areas of expertise is young adult or college aged mental health, anxiety and depressive disorders in youth and disruptive behavior disorders. He has spent the last three years working with the underserved in rural Polk County, Florida. He is a member in good standing of the American Association of Psychiatry and the American Association of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Paul’s personal interests include jogging, hiking, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding and spending time with his family.

Kristen Henley, APRN
Psychiatric Mental Health NP - Lifespan

Kristen Henley was born and raised in Madisonville, KY. After graduating High School, Kristen joined the USAF where she was trained in surveillance as an aircrew member onboard a highly specialized airframe known as JSTARS. After serving her country for several years, Kristen was Honorably Discharged in 2005 and returned home to KY. Realizing that her military career did not translate to the civilian sector, Kristen decided to go back to school for nursing and in 3013, she completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing at Austin Peay State University, where she discovered her passion for mental health nursing. After graduation, she was hired as an RN on an adolescent unit in Nashville, TN. This job helped her to solidify her desire to continue her education to become a Nurse Practitioner. Kristen then applied and was accepted at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and completed her Master’s Degree in Nursing with a focus in Psychiatric/Mental Health in 2015, all while continuing to work nightshift at the hospital. She accomplished both of these degrees while raising her three daughters – Natalie, Carly, and Madeline. Since graduation, Kristen has obtained her Board Certification in Psychiatry by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in 2016 and has treated all ages in both private practice and at a community mental health center. While she enjoys working with a wide variety of patients, her preferred population continues to be adolescents.

Noel Warwick, DO
Adult Psychiatrist

Dr. Warwick is a licensed Psychiatrist practicing since 2016. She received her medical education at The New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and residency training at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. She has experience treating a wide range of psychiatric problems in adults as well as experience working in a prison and jail population. Her special interests include women’s mental health and addiction. Dr. Warwick currently resides in Elmore, Vermont with her husband and two dogs and enjoys skiing and hiking in her spare time. In addition, she is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and hold a Masters degree in Medical Science from Boston University.
