What is innovaTel Telepsychiatry?

innovaTel is a telepsychiatry company that links highly qualified psychiatrists with health care facilities across the U.S. to increase access to psychiatric care using telemedicine technology. Our goal is to make sure that every person can access psychiatric care when they need it, where they need it.

What behavioral health Services Do the innovaTel Clinicians Provide?

They can do anything a traditional in-person clinician can do. Using a secure teleconferencing video connection, InnovaTel’s clinicians see patients in your facility’s office and provide a range of services including: Initial evaluations

  • What Type of Organizations does innovaTel Partner with?

    InnovaTel provides services to any organization in need of psychiatric services, including community mental health centers, primary care centers, emergency rooms, senior living facilities, corrections facilities, FQHCs, and other outpatient centers located in rural and urban areas.

    Will I Have a Choice Which Clinician is Assigned to our Organization?

    Yes, we will present the clinician that we have available and you will be able to conduct an onscreen interview to determine if it is a good fit for both your organization and our clinician. Our goal is to assure long term relationships with our customers and clinicians.

    • InnovaTel telepsychiatry clinicians are a team of top licensed psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners from a variety of behavioral health specialty areas.
    • Each member of the team is thoroughly vetted for attributes that make them uniquely qualified to deliver telepsychiatry services.
    • InnovaTel clinicians are not just contractors. They fully integrate into the treatment team at your facility to form collaborative relationships with your on-site staff and ensure continuity of care for your clients.
    • InnovaTel clinicians go through the same on-boarding process that any in-person provider at your facility would go through, and are expected to follow the policies and procedures set forth by your facility.

    How Much Training and Preparation will my organization Need To Do for The Telepsychiatry Clinician?

    • They come to you ready with everything in place, including malpractice insurance, DEA numbers, and training.Your organization will be responsible for training the InnovaTel physician on your facilities particular electronic medical record (EMR), policies, and procedures.
    • The training will be completed online and we can assist with a software program that allows screen share for easier demonstration of the EMR should your facility need it.

    Are Patients Satisfied with Receiving Care via Telepsychiatry?

    • Based on feedback we’ve received from patient surveys from provided buy customers organizations, patients respond remarkably well to telepsychiatry services.
    • 90% of patients report that they would like to continue using telepsychiatry.

    What Technology do We Need at Our Facility for Telepsychiatry?

    • InnovaTel providers can see patients using any HIPAA compliant video conferencing platform.
    • If you already have this technology in place, our providers can easily adapt to your current system.
    • If you do not currently have a HIPAA compliant video conferencing platform in place, InnovaTel can work with you to select the platform that will work best for you.
    • Our IT Director will also work with you to assure all your equipment is set up for optimal patient experience, and will remain available for any questions you may have.
    • A test run will be completed prior to any go-live date.

    How Do innovaTel Clinicians Document Their Notes?

    • All notes and medications are documented directly into your electronic medical record (EMR).
    • They do not complete paper notes and transmission of personal health information outside your EMR.
    • If signatures are required on documents, they can be scanned and emailed to the provider, and returned in the same manner.

    Does innovaTel Credential the Clinicians for Our Payors?

    While InnovaTel does not complete credentialing for your payors, we work closely with you to assure you have all the appropriate information needed to complete the applications.
